Kukie, our "Robo-shipper"
When re-designing the warehouse to increase efficiency and use of space a decision was made to install a carousel to hold about 5000 part numbers. The carousel was placed on a mezzene that allowed more stock to be stored underneath.
This created a need to raise and lower the stock as it went to and from the carousel. Instead of using conventional vertical lift modules IFP decidied to showcase its line of high-tech products. The Kuka Industrial Robot was placed to lift the parts to and from conveyor belts used to stage the movement of the stock.
